Hytera Day in Peru, a technical seminar introducing Hytera’s latest products and solutions to Peruvian customers was held on Tuesday, September 18th at Country Club Lima Hotel. The event was attended by more than 200 professionals and end-users from different industries as well as channel and project partners.

Dr. Ántero Flores-Aráoz, former Minister of Defense and former President of the congress in Peru, made the keynote speech, addressing the importance of communications technologies to public safety and security. Latter in the afternoon, Dr. Alejandro Salas Zegarra, magister in public administration and expert in public acquisitions, extended Dr. Ántero’s perspective and said that the investment into public safety and security could be a priority option for government to consider to establish a nationwide communication system for all Peruvian first responders and accelerate the digitalization and modernization of policing by adopting innovative technologies and equipment.

“Hytera Peru has supplied TETRA technologies and solutions to Peruvian National Police (PNP) since 2012. Up till now, there are nearly 20,000 units of TETRA radios being used by mission critical users in Peru,” said Luis Perez, Sales Director of Hytera Peru, referring to PNP in his presentation of Public Safety Communications Solutions. “We are providing our cutting-edge products and technologies to help improve their communications and operation efficiency and will offer viable evolution path for our client’s consideration when technology develops in the upcoming future.”

Andrew Yuan, Vice President of Hytera Communications, and Matthias Klausing, President of Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH, presented overall performance of Hytera group and business integration after the Teltronic acquisition by Hytera in 2017, and overall operations in Peru. “Integration in product lines and technologies has yielded results in numbers. In the first half of 2018, Hytera achieved revenue of 3.05 billion RMB with 66.38% growth over the first half of 2017,” Andrew said during his opening speech, “In Latin America, we see even more obvious and fruitful results from the acquisition and integration. Less than 10 days ago, we got confirmation of project wining in Brazil. I refer to this winning not because the number is big, but the project reflects Hytera’s capability growth in recent years, especially after the acquisition of Sepura and Teltronic.”
